Bio

Legally, I am Rosalind Florence, (proudly named after Rosalind Russel) but I tend to go by my preferred name Rosalind B. Sterling. (Sometimes Ross or Ros).

I'm a versatile writer, editor, artist, and story developer who works on a wide range of genres, age ranges, fiction, non fiction, and various art styles. But I can work on virtually anything I put my mind to, whether it be advising, marketing, consulting, and more.

My story

Given that I am a queer, trans, Hispanic, and neurodivergent individual in a low income household, I understand the struggle minorities face while trying to run a business, publish a novel, get their creativity out into the world, or have their voices be heard. This is why strive to create a safe working environment for anyone of any race, gender, sexuality, and religion, and do what I can to provide comfortable services for diverse clients and employers. Though I will happily work for/with anyone whether minority or not, I do my best to give opportunities to people who less often have the chance to gain said opportunities.

My story

I began my creative journey at the ripe age of twelve after I realized that Universal Studios was not going to animate my story free of charge. (Bummer). So I began searching for ways to get all of my stories out of my brain catacomb and into a visual format.  This led me to write my first novel and draw some illustrations. Naturally, being a middle schooler with minimal life experience and the intelligence of an unplugged toaster, I hated whatever I created during these early stages of my creativity. So I wrote another book and drew some more. Plot twist: I hated those too. (Big surprise). I then created more, improved, created even more, continued to improve-You get the point.  Which brought me to where I am now with a published, illustrated novel and a portfolio/resume of people and projects I have worked with.

My original career path was to become a paleontologist so I could dig the dead remains of our earth's past dwellers, but that idea made a courteous jump out the window after I joined my college’s STEM program and decided that crossing over the alphabet with math was something I had not the least bit of interest in. I may know how to make words out of letters, but I don’t like to calculate them. (Though I still stand by my word that dinosaurs are very cool and prominently better than people.) I then changed my career path to the things I’m most passionate about like writing, editing, and drawing so I could be here today to type this.
